Abstract

Smart cities have become a new ideal for maximising machine-to-machine, machine-to-human, and human-to-human communications to provide better amenities and quality of life. These ideas use diverse networks, sensor nodes, processing devices, and data repositories that collect, transfer, store, and process real-time information. Smart cities along with latest technology offer applications and services for health care, education, energy usage, and transportation. Smart cities offer potential, but security and privacy must be addressed. Our research aims to identify Intrusion Detection systems that detect cyber threats.
