Veterans and Creative Health: Embedding creative approaches in clinical contexts, Knowledge Exchange Partnership

This project will facilitate knowledge exchange between academics working in creative health and nursing, health care professionals, and third sector veteran organisations and their clients in Northern Ireland and northeast England. The aim is to encourage a dialogue between these stakeholders in order to integrate creative health practices, including social prescribing, into veteran healthcare. In doing so, it is intended that a resource of best practice will be developed for clinical use in veteran contexts in the UK and beyond. The project aims to bring together Ulster’s and Sunderland’s schools of nursing to share expertise and develop strategies to integrate creative health approaches into the general student experience and teaching at all levels, as well as inform clinical practice. This is funding to pay for a Research Assistant to support the above project.
