Project Details
Description
The T3-NCP project aims to establish a sustainable framework for community policing within the EU to address challenges related to radicalization and violent extremism, with a particular focus on gender dynamics. It aims to foster productive partnerships between law enforcement agencies and community members by drawing on validated research, best practices, and an understanding of the factors that influence trust among stakeholders. Employing a user-centered approach, T3-NCP concentrates on providing a range of tools to prevent, detect, and deter criminal activities. By incorporating innovative intervention strategies, enhancing two-way communication via social media, ensuring confidentiality and ethical data handling, T3-NCP seeks to integrate social, cultural, legal, and ethical considerations into its fundamental design and operations to address local challenges effectively. The validation of the system in three EU cities will cater to diverse user needs. Interactive training methods will enhance user proficiency with the tools and bolster deterrence mechanisms to dissuade individuals and groups from participating in illicit activities. Awareness campaigns, law enforcement tactics, and legal measures will encourage both law enforcement personnel and the public to actively participate. The project will serve as a basis for the development of the next generation of strategies to combat vulnerabilities within communities, focusing on educational initiatives, social interventions, and policy reforms to support marginalized communities in Europe by fostering seamless collaboration between law enforcement and local residents.
