Prevention of Online Recruitment into Human Trafficking using Automated Solutions

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The project aligns the REPHRAIN’s third mission; it will focus on understanding this online harm and developing technologies and interventions to disrupt mal-actors. In keeping with the cross-cutting strands and mission objectives, the project will ensure implementation of good practice by drawing upon the experience and expertise of established partners in law enforcement and victims support organisation La Strada, both to identify particular online platforms where recruitment into human trafficking is happening and to understand this online harm in terms of the vulnerabilities of the individual and factors at a wider community and international level that contribute to its proliferation.
