Project Details

Description

EnACT VR is a multiuser virtual reality system for Meta Quest headsets combining social play, structured tasks including a virtual Box and Block Test, and an AI virtual health assistant. PPI evaluation with health professional lecturers (UU) and NHS occupational therapists (Royal, Belfast) was strongly positive, highlighting motivational benefits of shared activities, clinical task relevance, and multiuser VR's potential to reduce isolation and support remote care. This project will conduct a usability study with two PPI groups: occupational therapists at the Royal Victoria Hospital and stroke survivors from areas of deprivation in Belfast, generating the evidence base for a larger clinical feasibility study.
