PBIAA SECONDARY FUNDING - Ambient Home Monitoring via Data Fusion and Probabilistic Reasoning

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The key concept for this project is to further develop a care support monitoring system applied to, a residential care home setting to monitor frail and fall-prone residents. This device can be used to monitor day-to-day personalised activity tracking physiotherapy compliance and fall-detection. In all cases, alerts for both acute and chronic events are provided. This project is to test novel sensing technologies in a home setting with physio patients who have frailty issues during a 12 week fall prevention physio programme and post programme monitoring in the home. We will also test the device’s ability to detect falls during this task.
