Project Details

Description

This proposal seeks to establish a high-impact UK–Pakistan innovation network that connects Ulster University’s global leadership in Beyond 5G communications, artificial intelligence, and wireless systems with Pakistan’s rapidly evolving digital infrastructure landscape. Through targeted engagement with academic and government stakeholders, most notably the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) Punjab University (PU), Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI) and the Ministry of IT and Telecom, Pakistan, this collaboration will accelerate the co-development of transformative wireless technologies and cultivate a future-ready talent pipeline aligned with the UK’s International Science Partnerships Fund (ISPF) themes of Transformative Technologies and Tomorrow’s Talent. Key UK stakeholders, including OFCOM, Nokia, and Vodafone Group Services Limited will share insights on spectrum policy and infrastructure. The event will feature research seminars, policy roundtables with Pakistan’s top decision makers, and project development sessions, while highlighting Ulster’s AI-native 6G innovations relevant to Pakistan.
