Description
The development of a co-designed toolkit to assist people with lived experience of a learning disability to have equity of access to and equity of outcome from urgent and emergency care in times of ill health will build on already current service in our Emergency departments, including the implementation, of a sensory room in each Emergency Department which the Acute Liaison Nurses along with the Consultant Nurse Learning Disability developed and which is also supported with care pathways specific for people with learning disabilities. Our previous projects to enhance the accessibility and emergency care provided have been a direct action from listening to people with learning disabilities and their families and carers.
