GRAMS1: Gastrointestinal and Respiratory tract Anatomy Models to support clinical interventions

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

Main Project: STREAM 1. Digital Healthcare Technology Impact Accelerator - DHTA- PBIAA Secondary Funding Call: PBIAA Call1 GRAMS1 aims to predict anatomical variability within the respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts (specifically the trachea, oesophagus, and surrounding structures) using external reference points. The project will develop software to predict internal anatomy from external body landmarks; the project will generate evidence that supports the future development of digital health tools designed to enhance clinical decision-making. This research may be incorporated with technologies involved in clinical interventions in the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts to improve patient safety and reduce the need for additional imaging data (e.g., X-rays).
