Project Details
Description
The core concept of the EOI is to develop and test an IoT-based system that continuously monitors thermal comfort and indoor air quality in real time, targeting individuals living in home environments. The solution aims: (i) to collect indoor environmental data (temperature, humidity and air quality) by integrating low-cost IoT sensors, Edge Computing, and a user-friendly dashboard, and (ii) to provide actionable insights to support health and well-being of the occupant. The research vision is to create a scalable, automated monitoring platform that empowers users and their relatives/caregivers to proactively manage indoor living conditions, reducing health risks associated with poor environmental variables within indoor environments.
