Developing clinical academic roles and careers in nursing and midwifery across Northern Ireland

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

We plan to host a strategic workshop which has been endorsed by the Chief Nurse and is aligned to recommendations of the Nursing and Midwifery Taskforce. It is recognised that research active Trusts deliver a higher quality of care and clinical academic roles are one way in which the research can be promoted and implemented in health care. We know that post-doctoral careers in clinical practice are very difficult to achieve in NI and we badly need career pathways for our doctorally prepared colleagues.
