Supported by InvestNI POC1 funding, the project is exploring modern cutting edge technological solutions available in AR to provide a bespoke solution to problems faced by NI heritage sector, e.g. presentation and preservation of large scale heritage / cultural artefacts, storage and amalgamation of associated Big Data as part of one package as well as presenting such package in a user friendly captivating way, augmented with accurate historical narrative thus attracting new and diverse (age; social background; race; gender) audiences.
We are exploring how AR and Big Data can improve NI heritage industry and provide new solutions to the problems it is currently facing.
