Nurse Education in Practice relies on effective peer review processes not only to uphold the quality and validity of individual articles, but also the overall integrity of the journal. We understand that all reviewers assist us in the spare time, and for this we are indebted to each reviewer. However, every so often, one reviewer stands out amongst the rest for returning a thorough, considered and well organised review, which not only is of great help to the Editor, but more importantly it provides a solid foundation upon which an author may revise their manuscript, or take a review forward to strengthen their onward writing skills.
