The UUSU Learning & Teaching Awards recognise the teaching and university staff that go over and beyond the call of duty for their students. Hundreds of students responded to a call to nominate the teaching staff that they felt have had the most positive and influential impact on their learning experience at Ulster. The School of Health Sciences had one nominee, Cathal Breen, who was shortlisted for the event under the category of Inspirational Teaching. However Cathal went onto win the accolade of Overall Inspirational Teaching Award, receiving the most nominations across the university
