Description

An Ulster University: Access Agreement Projects and Initiatives Grant of £15,028.90 for the 'The InTurn: Community Leadership project.' This project enabled the community youth work team, in partnership with Youth Action Northern Ireland (YANI) and the Western Education and Library Board (WELB) Youth Service, to offer volunteers an initial higher education experience within the community. The project helped to make Higher Education visible and accessible within communities in Omagh, Derry, Fermanagh and Newry. The project will provided 100 volunteers initial 10 credit/ level 4 ‘taster’ modules in partnership with youth and community organisations and in a community setting. Modules were slected from the Certificate in Community Youth studies.
