The Ulster University Civic Impact Fund provides Ulster’s research community with the resource to ensure that their research benefits wider society. Victoria was awarded £5k to create a graphic novel that will retell the untold history of Ireland’s largest and last witchcraft trial (at Islandmagee in 1711). This unique civic and commercial project, which will generate interest from readers globally, will be underpinned by my research on how dark and difficult heritage can be creatively retold with an ethical impulse.
