Biography

Tobias Niblock is a second year PhD Researcher at Ulster University in the School of Applied Social and Policy Sciences. He completed a BSc (Hons) degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice at Ulster University in 2021 and a MSc Criminology and Criminal Justice at Ulster University in 2022. 

He was awarded a NINE DTP studentship with the ESRC. 

Research Interests

Tobias' postgraduate research explores the involvement of young people within illegal drug markets in Northern Ireland.

Outside of academic study, he has been involved in a research project which studied student drug use, supply and harm reduction to create a universially applicable policy for universities. 

Primary research interests include drug markets, drug use and drug policy. 

Teaching Interests

Sentencing and punishment, drugs, youth justice and policing.
