Biography

My research focuses on how ecological interactions among freshwater plankton facilitate the transfer of antibiotic resistance genes. The propensity of zooplankton to increase the frequency of horizontal gene transfer in clinically relevant gram-positive bacteria during filter-feeding episodes was extensively investigated.
