Dr Tazar Hussain is a Lecturer in Computer Science and teaches deep learning and IoT at the School of Computing at Ulster University. Dr Hussain previously worked as a KTP Associate on the development and integration of an Explainable Natural Language Processing (XNLP) algorithm into Pathology Laboratory Information System (LIS). He has completed his PhD on IoT management framework for decision making in instances of unreliability at School of Computing at Ulster University. He also worked as part time Research Associate (RA) on BTIIC (BT Ireland Innovation Centre) project on “Data to Action” associated with IoT stream. He has received his Bachelor of Information Technology degree from Sarhad University, Peshawar, Pakistan. He obtained his MSc degree in Data Telecommunication and Networks from Salford University, Manchester, UK. He has worked as Lecturer in King Saud University (KSU), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia for over 9 years. In his role as lecturer, he has also been involved in several research projects and was awarded funds by NPST (Nation Plan for Science, Technology, and Innovation) and Deanship of Scientific research (DSU) at KSU. He is also a certified IBM Security Specialist, trained IBM smart cities and cloud expert. He has a strong research background in the areas of Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing (NLP), IoT Systems, Explainable Machine Learning and Human Activity Recognition (HAR). |
