Biography

Seán is a dedicated PhD Researcher in Artificial Intelligence, specialising in Federated Learning (FL). His research aims to develop trustworthy FL frameworks for sensor networks and IoT devices. With a Distinction in both his MSc and PgCert in AI from Ulster University, Seán brings a strong academic foundation to his research.

His prior experience in electronics and software engineering, spanning over a decade, includes working in various teams tasked with developing the next generation of application-specific IoT sensors. This industry experience provides valuable insights into the practical challenges and opportunities in the field of AI and IoT.
