PhD Researcher Profile
Ronan Sharkey is a Teacher and PhD Researcher (Education) and is a Member of the Chartered College of Teacher.
Ronan is also the Senior Vice-President for the NASUWT Northern Ireland.
He is currently undertaking his PhD Reseacher within the School of Education, conducting a comparative study Global Perspectives, Local Realities: Designing an Adaptive Educational Leadership Framework for Northern Ireland. This comparative study will focus on how the role of the Principal is achieved across the globe compared to Northern Ireland.
Ronan is also the Lecturer for EDU867 - Leadership for Learning Module.
Research Interests
Ronan's research interests are with the area of Educational Leadership; sustainable schooling; and effective school improvement
Teaching Interests
Ronan's teaching interests include teacher professional development, school leadership, and research methods in education.
