Biography

Dr. Robert Eadie is the MSc Civil and Infrastructure Engineering Course director and Academic Lead for Civil Engineering Apprentices. His PhD was related to e-procurement in construction, and his research focuses on BIM, procurement and pedagogy. Additionally He has an Honorary Doctorate from the European Technical University in Pernik Bulgaria. He spent 20 years in industry in consultancy, on site and in the public sector before moving into academia. A fellow of Engineers Ireland, he is a past Chair of Northern Region, a Past Council Member and represents them on the Professional College of Construction Industry Professionals Council CPCNI which lobbies government on Industry needs. He is a Chartered Committee Member of CIHT Northern Ireland currently serving as Third Level Liaison. He was Chair of the Association of Civil Engineering Departments in 2024. This body represents the UK Universities that teach Civil Engineering. He has over eighty peer-reviewed academic publications.
