Thesis Title: Online group EMDR for breastfeeding trauma recovery

 

Biography

Rachel is currently a PhD researcher within the Centre for Maternal, Fetal and Infant Research at Ulster University. She has a Master’s degree in Health Psychology and a BSc in Psychology.

Her research interests include breastfeeding, maternal mental health, EMDR Therapy and research using social media.

Her PhD focuses on developing an EMDR Therapy intervention for women who have experienced breastfeeding trauma. 

She is an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and Co-Chair of BirthWise, a new maternity charity based in Northern Ireland and a trained breastfeeding peer supporter. You can also find her on twitter @Rachel_Black742 and https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Rachel-Black-8.
