Biography

Rachel Black is a Research Associate in the Institute of Nursing and Health Research at Ulster University. She gained her PhD from Ulster University in 2023 where her doctoral research focused on developing an EMDR Therapy intervention for women who had experienced breastfeeding trauma.  She has a Master’s degree in Health Psychology and a BSc in Psychology.

She has experience in qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research. Her research interests include breastfeeding, maternal mental health, women's health and research using social media.
