Attended St Colman's College Newry, and completed BA and DPhil at Ulster University.
Research Interests
Research mainly on aspects of the Irish manuscript tradition and Bardic Poetry.
Teaching Interests
Director for undergraduate Irish at Magee/Derry.
PhD Researcher Profile
Has supervised three PhD students to completion.
Current and Recent Grants
Has been the recipient of grants of around £400,000, including Fulbright, Leverhulme and Government of Ireland prizes. Currently engaged in the Ultonia project in conjunction with Dr Caitríona Ó̦ Dochartaigh, UCC.
