Mohammad is a research associate in safety engineering and joined the Hydrogen Safety Engineering and Research Centre (HySAFER) of Ulster University in September 2016. Recieved his PhD from memorial University of Newfoundland, his research focus was on the consequence analysis and effects’ modelling for the risk-based design of process facilities. After completion of his PhD, Mohammad joined the Virtual Environment for Knowledge Mobilization Project as a research engineer at memorial University of Newfoundland (April 2013-September 2013). Mohammad was then offered and undertook Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Centre for Risk, Integrity and Safety Engineering (C-RISE) of Memorial University of Newfoundland (October 2013-August 2016).His research background is environmental risk assessment, consequence analysis, effects modelling and quantitative and qualitative risk analysis. Mohammad is well-experienced in setting up environmental engineering related experiments and computer modelling using CFD codes FLACS and FDS. Mohammad has been actively collaborating with international researchers from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Dalhousie University, University of Tasmania and University Technology Malaysia on risk engineering related topics.
