Biography

Mark is a Lecturer in Sport & Exercise Nutrition Practice at Ulster Univeristy. Mark completed a BSc (Sports and Exercise Science) and an MSc (Sports Nutrition) at Liverpool John Moores University. He finished his PhD in Nutrition and Exercise Physiology at Loughborough University in 2022.

Mark also works in an applied capacity as a Performance Nutrition Consultant with Belfast Giants and has supported athletes across a range of individual and team sports and within organisations such as Widnes Vikings RLFC and Loughborough Sport.

Research Interests

Marks research focus is on the effects of nutrition and exercise on health and performance.
