Personal profile

Biography

I joined the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics (DAFE) at Ulster University in August 2022. I obtained my PhD in Economics from Royal Holloway (University of London) in Feb 2022. During 2021-22, I worked as a part-time Lecturer at Royal Holloway and Birkbeck. I also taught in Pakistan at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University) before joining the UK's academia in 2018.

My research broadly falls in the area of conflict economics. I mainly apply econometric tools to study the dynamics of violent conflicts. I'll be particularly happy to supervise research that leads to creation of new conflict-related databases.
