Lucia's current research project explores relationship and sexual education and educational needs of young people in Northern Ireland, including their understanding of intimate abuse and coercive control as well as creation of educational interventions. Her PhD (Queen's University of Belfast) explored the role of the education sector in addressing intimate partner violence among young people in Northern Ireland. Her research interests more broadly are prevention and intervention of violence among young people, young adult relationship formation and adolescent relationship and sexual well-being.
