Louise is Associate Head of School at Belfast School of Art. Her research interests include; investigating the role of the artist as social commentator and supporting teaching and learning in art and design tertiary level education. Louise is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, elected Executive Committee Member & Secretary for the Group for Learning in Art and Design in Higher Education (GLADHE) and a full member of Centre for Higher Education and Research Practice, Ulster University.
Louise has exhibited work and presented her research both nationally and internationally. She has been commissioned by both private and public bodies to create a number of public artworks, complete research, feasibility studies, education, training and manage arts projects. She has worked extensively in the community and schools sectors on a wide variety of projects and initiatives. Louise has received a number of awards both for her arts practice and pedagogic research. She is currently undertaking doctoral research in education. For more information see http://louiseoboyle.com
