Professor Motawa is a Professor of Digital Construction and Building Information Management (BIM), with a PhD from the department of Civil & Building Engineering, Loughborough University, UK. He is currently leading the research group of “Digital Built Environment” and the course director of the MSc “Digital Construction Analytics and BIM”. His research interests cover Digital Built Environment, Building Information Modelling, Data analytics & Optimisation & AI Modelling in Construction. Prof Motawa has been the PI/CoPI of a number research projects related to these areas in Built Environment and has supervised 15 PhD students in related areas until completion. With over 100 publications, the work of Prof Motawa is highly ranked and returned to REF 2014 and 2021.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
