Gulzar Alam joined the School of Computing at Ulster University in 2021 as a PhD researcher and pursuing his PhD via Department for the Economy Studentship (International). Before moving to the Ulster University, he was a research assistant in the Deanship of Scientific Research (DSR) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), Saudi Arabia. During his stay as a research assistant, he worked on different funded research projects in the domain of cybersecurity and software engineering. He received his M.S. degree in Software Engineering from the Information and Computer Science (ICS) department at KFUPM. He remained a teaching assistant in the ICS department, KFUPM. He received a fully-funded scholarship for his M.S studies from the Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabia. He received his B.S. degree in software engineering from the University of Malakand, Pakistan.
His research interests include artificial intelligence, pervasive computing, open data and open data sets quality.
