Personal profile
PhD Researcher Profile
I am a VCRS funded PhD candidate in the field of language policy. My research focuses on the intergenerational transmission of minoritized languages, particularly Welsh, Friulian, and regional languages in Italy. I adopt an interdisciplinary approach, drawing on ethnographic methods, cultural anthropology, and public policy analysis.
Biography
I hold an MA in Linguistics and a BA in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Bologna, where I developed a strong interest in sociolinguistics and language revitalization.
During my time in Bologna, I coordinated the cultural organization HomoLogos, leading a number of public engagement initiatives in anthropology—from editorial and science communication projects to outreach activities aimed at promoting cultural awareness among younger audiences. I am currently an editorial assistant for the REAL working paper series.
Since 2025, I have been a member of the scientific committee for the safeguarding, promotion, and transmission of the linguistic varieties of Emilia-Romagna.
