Research Interests: Eoin’s research interests began with a PHD on the historical development of the Ireland's economy and political economy. This has sparked a life-long interest in the development of the economy on the island of Ireland, in particular in the period since 2000. Since joining the UUEPC Eoin has led on a nmber of projects from tourism on the island of Ireland, low pay and minimum wages, socila housing and social rents, regional inequalities in NI, economic outlooks for the NI and local economies, and the impact of Covid-19 and the cost of living shocks, the impact of Brexit on different sub-regions in NI, and the opportunities associated with City Deals (in Derry, Belfast and Mid-South-West).
