Biography

I am a Clinical Psychologist having qualified with a DClin Psych in 2004. I have worked in mental heatlh services for over 25 years within the statutory, private and V&C sectors. I have also worked within the prison service and provided psychological assesment and interventions for social services and the courts. For a number of years I have held positions as a steering group member in organisations supporting indiviudals impacted by the Northern Ireland Troubles. I have a wide ranging interest in areas of trauma, forensic mental health, psychosexual and gendered relationships and carer and staff wellbeing. I have recent publications in areas of Dementia Care-Giving and Breast Cancer Checking Behaviour and am supervising a PHd on NHS staff wellbeing.
