Biography

Clare is a lecturer in the School of the Built Environment and is Course Director for the BSc (Hons) Construction Engineering and Management part-time programme.Clare is an associate member of the Built Environment Research Institute and has a degree in Building Surveying from Ulster University and a LLM in Construction Law from the University of Strathclyde. Her research interests include procurement and alternative dispute resolution within the construction industry.Prior to joining Ulster University in 2008 Clare spent 12 years in practice as a Building Surveyor and Assistant Contract and Arbitration Manager within the private sector and PFI Contract Manager within the public sector.Clare is an active member of the Chartered Institute of Building and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. Her external activities include external examiner appointments, CIOB accreditation panel member and educational board member on the Construction Industry Training Board.
