Biography

Dr Cheng Yin is a Lecturer in Computing Science at Ulster University, UK. Prior to this, she held research positions in the Centre for Wireless Innovation (CWI) at Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) from 2020 to 2021, and 5G/6G Innovation Centre at the University of Surrey, from 2021 to 2023, respectively. She received her Ph.D. degree from QUB in 2019.  She has published over 30 top-tier journal and conference papers. Her research interests include wireless security and privacy, AI for wireless networks, performance analysis and real-time optimization, reconfigurable intelligent surface (RIS), and semantic communication. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
