Born in Brazil, with Italian descendant Bruna Pucci is currently studying her multidisciplinary PhD with Ulster University, which involves being part of the school of Geography and Environmental Sciences (GES) and the Nutrition Innovation Centre for Food and Health (NICHE). Combining the two disciplines, she is investigating how socioeconomic status of individuals influences health outcomes in the island of Ireland, which involves working along with TUDA, TUDA+ and VALID. Bruna has previously worked in industry for 3 years, as a senior scientist, her role was to increase the nutritional value to reach RDA of a food product through the growing process. She has completed a two year MSc in Food Science and Nutrition, where she took modules in Germany, Portugal, Belgium and Ireland after finishing her BSc in Biomedical Sciences in NUI Maynooth in 2012.
