Biography

Dr Brendan Clerkin FCA CTA is a Lecturer in Accounting, Tax, Sustainability, and Corporate Governance. His PhD on Management Accounting in International Development was completed at Dublin City University in 2016, from which he published ABS3 star papers. He is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland (FCA), and is also a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) with the Irish Taxation Institute. He qualified with Deloitte in Dublin, and became CFO of several commercial and not-for-profit international organisations. He previously taught part-time at universities in the UK and Ireland. His research interests focus mainly on accounting in the not-for-profit sector.
