DescriptionUlster University’s Centre for Legal Technology (CLT) has launched a pioneering partnership with the Labour Relations Agency (LRA) and Northern Ireland legal tech start-up TalkTerms, aiming to modernise the way large-scale legal disputes are handled.

The pilot collaboration will focus on developing artificial intelligence-based solutions to address the overwhelming backlog of claims resulting from the Agnew ruling on underpaid holiday leave. The LRA is currently dealing with more than 250,000 registered cases involving around 30,000 potential claimants, placing unprecedented pressure on existing systems.
