The new appointment aims for continuity and enhanced support for the Bulgarian community and businesses in the region.
The government has decided to appoint Dr. Robert Eadie as Honorary Consul of Bulgaria to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, based in Belfast. This decision officially terminates the functions of Mr. Paul Martin, who held the post from June 2017 until his death in July 2025.
ACADEMIC AND PUBLIC AUTHORITY
Dr. Robert Eadie enjoys solid authority in British and Bulgarian academic and business circles. According to information from the press center of the Council of Ministers, he has made a significant public contribution in supporting the Bulgarian diaspora in Northern Ireland, as well as in the development of science in Bulgaria.
