Professor Paul Dunlop, Dr Eileen Doherty and Dr Karen Kirby, Oisin Keenan met with Canadian experts and locally affected homeowners to discuss and compare the key issues. The mental health impacts were discussed, highlighting how parents and children are being impacted by the extended barriers with housing agency scheme, which is still not fit for purpose, causing ongoing distress to the Irish affected homeowners. In comparison, the Canadian government response was much better supported, no delays and less disruption therefore to peoples lives.
