Description
Disability Agenda Scotland (DAS) hosted a workshop on draft amendments, and other issues, relating to the Social Security Bill (Scotland). About 15 representatives of charities, welfare rights services, academia and others with particular expertise were invited to consider and challenge draft amendments and other issues related to the Social Security Bill. The aims of the workshop were: to provide a forum, under the Chatham House Rule, to consider key social security issues; to discuss, and further develop, amendments to the Social Security Bill and related issues; and inform and influence the development of the Social Security Bill. Key issues included an independent review of the Social Security System, measures to reduce poverty, top-up powers and accessibility.Period | 21 Nov 2017 |
