In collaboration with The Rainbow Project, Belfast City Council community engagement team approached me to design and facilitate a six-week targeted workshop series working with the trans and non-binary community. Ulster University ceramics department provided a safe space to come to be creative. Through illustration and narrative, we curated narrative compositions using objects traditionally found in the home to create our own still life drawings. Working between the page and clay, the participants made their own ceramic objects, transferring their illustrations onto the surface of their plates and painting directly onto their pots. The participants will exhibit these storied objects and their accompanying zine in The Mac on Sunday 21st May 2023.
