The Transitional Justice Institute and the Equality Coalition co-hosted a workshop titled "The Enforcement of Statutory Duties" on Thursday, 23 January, Ulster University (Belfast Campus).This event featured two panel discussions.
Each panel brought together experts to explore how these duties operate in practice, their experiences of enforcement them, and opportunities for improvement.
Panel 1
A focused discussion on Section 75 of the Northern Ireland Act in practice.
Panel 2
Insights into the implementation and challenges of other statutory duties, including the Rural Needs Act, Irish Medium Education, the Children’s Services Cooperation Act, Environmental duties and the Welsh Well-being of Future Generations Act.
