Description

An examination of how Pratchett lampooned traditional, deistic concepts of determinism, but instead presented a version of it built upon technological progress. I discussed how such thinking has much of its roots in colonialist rhetoric, and how ultimately Pratchett attempts to resolve this image of a pre-determined path of progress with his humanist principles and belief in human individual freedom.
