Description
Dr Golden hosted and provided the opening keynote presentation about Belfast THRI(VES) urban health, wellbeing and inclusive planning research in partnership with Belfast City Council. Dr Golden presented in-depth research scope and case study proposals, placing Belfast in a global context of way to collectively address common social, economic, and public health challenges to reshape and reopen public spaces in transformative ways; and to examine the types of evidence needed to support liveable city policy, planning, and design initiatives. Dr Golden introduced two keynote speakers, Belfast City Council Director of City Regeneration & Development Cathy Reynolds, and Department for Infrastructure Director of Transport Policy Liz Loughran, ahead of facilitating and responding to three panel discussions on the themes of Evidencing Liveable cities; Engagement for Vibrancy and Equality; and Balancing Public Interest and Private Investment in sustainable healthy places. Dr Golden's talk was part of a free public event funded through Belfast City Council via the Department for Communities Covid-19 Recovery Revitalisation Programme, and the Department for Infrastructure.Period | 17 Jun 2021 |
