Description
Purpose: This document is a written submission to the NI Assembly’s All-Party Group on Reducing Harm Related to Gambling inquiry into public health approaches to gambling-related harms in Northern Ireland.Background: This submission has been completed by a group of academics from across the island of Ireland who are conducting research on gambling. Their focus is to explore social, cultural, environmental and policy related aspects of gambling related harm on the island of Ireland and further abroad.
Statement of Funding: The authors are currently working on the YouGaMSI project which is funded under the North-South Research Programme, a collaborative research scheme funded by the Irish Government’s Shared Ireland Fund and administered by the Higher Education Authority (HEA) on behalf of the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
