A group of passionate and socially conscious social work students hosted a powerful, student-led conference at the Derry~Londonderry campus this month to shed light on the growing financial challenges faced by social work students amid the ongoing cost of living crisis.The conference, titled ’Cost of Living, Cost of Learning’, was organised and facilitated by undergraduate social work students deeply committed to social justice and advocacy. It provided a platform for students to share lived experiences, engage with politicians and demand urgent action to address the stark disparities in financial support across different disciplines in health and social care education.
