Organised with artist Emily Hesse and academic Martyn Hudson, this seminar looks at the legacy of an exhibition by Knud and Solwei Stampe that took place 30 years ago at Middlesbrough Art Gallery and its associated text by famous art theorist John Berger. Themes for discussion include relationships between art and politics and Middlesbrough’s connections with international discourse. MIMA’s current collection display features the Stampe’s work.
