Description
Golden was appointed to undertake research focused on improving commercial bathroom design for design professionals, specifically architects and interior designers in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Golden's primary role was to survey current literature in order to develop the research methodology and theoretical/pragmattic underpinnings. Golden advised on and analysed survey questionnaires and responses submitted to over 400 professional designers and 2000 office-workers from France, Germany, Italy and the UK in order to write a report for international publication via Ideal Standard International S.A. and Tangerine Communications PLC.Golden's output is an evidence based and objective assessment of the expectations and judgements of end-users and professionals regarding how fundamental changes in the way people live and work together impacts the design of commercial bathrooms as shared spaces, and associated commercial bathrooms they are likely to use in other places including gyms, restaurants, and bars, etc. Findings include design tools and forecasts that can encourage a multidisciplinary, holistic view on projects encompassing all parties of the supply chain, including Ideal Standard as a global supplier.
